Most of us have heard the many claims of the nutritional and health benefits of Moringa oliefera. But are they really true? Is there scientific evidence to substantiate these claims.

Well that is the question asked by its critics, including conventional medical practitioners and scientists. They demand the evidence.

Well the research has been done and here are just 5 of the things scientists have discovered. The evidence below reveals that moringa might be beneficial in the following:

1. ANEMIA

Moringa contains iron which is one of the most important building blocks of Haemoglobin (blood cells). It also contains Vitamin C., which helps in absorption of Iron from the gut, hence making it available for blood cell production.

2. ASTHMA

When 2 or 3 Moringa seeds a day are taken, the preliminary human evidence reveals an improvement in breathing and lung function. These results suggest that taking Moringa seeds will improve quality of life in those suffering with Asthma and Bronchitis .

3. CANCER

Cancer leads to abnormal multiplication of cells leading to a huge mass or wound. By the use of Moringa Oleifera extract, multiplication of the cancerous cells has been shown to reduce in cervical, skin and Colon cancer. For cancer prevention, Moringa Oleifera has been shown to neutralize cancer causing agents, i.e., free radicals.

4. EPILEPSY

Moringa Oleifera leaf extract have shown to reduce duration of epileptic seizures.

5. RHEUMATISM / ARTHRITIS

By taking 2 to 3 moringa seeds per day for not more than 2 weeks, results have shown to relieve pain and inflammatory process. The study reveals that the moringa seeds may be beneficial to those with Gout, Rheumatism and any sort of arthritis.
