Fattoush with Fresh Moringa Leaves

Fattoush is one of the types of salads in which the Levant is famous in general. (Jordan, Palestine, Syria, Lebanon).
The Fattoush dish consists of many types of fresh vegetables such as: tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce, mint, radish, watercress, green peppers, parsley and other vegetables that bloom and fruit in all seasons, olive oil and toasted bread. To give the dish a high nutritional value, fresh moringa leaves are added.

Ingredients:

We used the following:

  • Clove Garlic
  • Peppers
  • Salt
  • Fresh Basil leaves
  • Juice if one Lemon
  • Toasted Flat bread
  • Tahini
  • Chopped Parsley
  • Chopped Mint
  • Chopped Cucumber
  • Chopped Tomato
  • Fresh Moringa Leaves
  • Olive Oil
  • Chopped Lettuce

Instructions:

  1. Crush together the garlic, peppers, salt and basil leaves.
  2. Add freshly squeezed lemon juice.
  3. Break the bread into small pieces into a bowl.
  4. Pour the crushed ingredients and lemon juice over the bread.
  5. Add Tahini and stir in with parsley and mint.
  6. Add cucumber and tomato, followed by moringa leaves, and stir.
  7. Pour over the olive oil, and add lettuce and stir.
